Runeword-enhanced Normal Socketed armor is a major source of end-game gear for those playing the full version with the Lord of Destruction (LoD) expansion enabled.

Normal Socketed Chest Armor, Helms, Weapons, and Shields are the only gear items that can be used to create Runewords. Normal Socketed gear items that have anywhere from 1-6 Sockets that can accept Gems, Jewels, or Runes.
